Periakanal Estate is situated in the eastern end of the High Ranges on the Munnar/Madurai Highway. This estate is situated in a mist pocket and also receives high velocity winds which cause damage to tea bushes. The highest elevation is 5900 feet above sea level and the lowest is 4200 feet. The average rainfall received is 79 inches.

Periakanal estate is a high yielding estate and the record yield is 3018 Kg/Ha during the season 2000/01. This estate has achieved the highest plucking average of 30.78 kgs. in season 1999/2000.
