tea planting was done on West division during the year
1923, Centre division in 1925 and East division in 1937.
The factory was built in 1935. The name "ARIVIKAD"
means "Forest of streams". This estate falls
in the Eastern Zone of the district at an average elevation
of 5536 feet MSL. The panoramic scenery of the estate
entices a large number of tourists from India and abroad
to visit this region.
